The Slater Brothers Invitational helps raise educational awareness about the prevention of skin cancer. For the past six years, this event has attracted world-class surfers such as Kelly Slater, CJ and Damien Hobgood, Rob Machado, Benji Weatherly, Taylor Steele, and Shea and Cory Lopez, to name a few, to support this special cause. The Slater Brothers Invitational has provided a platform for free skin cancer screenings and has helped fund programs such as beach signage to educate those who enjoy outdoor activities about the preventable deadly disease of skin cancer.
